Segritude is based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in the United Kingdom. We operate as a remote-first studio, with our team contributing from across the world.
Segritude Ltd was incorporated in May 2023, growing from a small founding group into a multidisciplinary remote team. The studio is now focused on developing its first major title, Veydran.
Yes. Segritude is a proudly independent studio, which means full creative freedom over the games we make. We're currently self-funded while pursuing investment to scale development.

Games

Veydran is our flagship title, an original open-world survival game built in Unreal Engine 5. It blends player-versus-environment and player-versus-player gameplay in a vast, persistent world where the harsh environment and rival survivors are both constant threats.
Our titles target PC (Steam & Epic Games Store) as a primary platform, with console releases on PlayStation and Xbox to follow.
We're strong believers in modding communities. We plan to release modding tools after each game's launch window.
Never. We believe in complete, honest experiences. All our games are sold as full products with no pay-to-win mechanics or predatory monetisation.
We are currently in active development of Veydran. Release date information will be announced as we progress through our development milestones. Follow our updates for the latest news
While Veydran is our current flagship title, we are always exploring new concepts and ideas for future projects. Our team is passionate about creating multiple innovative gaming experiences.

Careers

Yes! We regularly open positions across design, engineering, art, and more. Visit our Careers page to see current openings.
Absolutely. If you don't see a role that fits, use the 'Send a Speculative Application' option on the Careers page and we'll keep you on file.
You can view our current job openings on our Careers page and apply directly through our application process. We're always looking for passionate individuals who want to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment.
We're a remote-first, collaborative studio with flexible working hours. Contributors currently join on a deferred-compensation basis while the studio pursues funding, with a clear pathway to paid work as we grow. We value transparency, craft, and treating teammates well.
Not at the moment. When the time is right, we will announce openings and make applications available.
No. Any art test, evaluation task, or trial brief provided during the recruitment process is unpaid and used solely to assess suitability for the role.
Segritude is an independent startup currently building the project while pursuing funding and long-term growth. To avoid making commitments the company cannot responsibly sustain at this stage, contributions are undertaken on a deferred basis until investment or revenue is secured.
If successful, you may be offered the opportunity to join the team as an independent contractor and contribute to the project under the same current deferred compensation structure.
That is the intention. Once Segritude secures investment or begins generating profit, the company intends to introduce compensation for contributors in line with its financial position and project growth.
This depends on the role and task, but we aim to keep tests reasonable and relevant to the position. The expected duration will normally be explained before the task is started.
Yes. Candidates are welcome to ask for role details before the interview so they can understand the responsibilities, expectations, and scope of the position in advance.
No. Anyone seeking immediate paid employment or contract work should carefully consider whether this opportunity is right for them before applying.
Successful applicants would join as independent contractors, not employees, and would contribute based on the company's current operating model and agreement terms.
Yes, absolutely. We want all applicants to make an informed decision before moving forward. Transparency is important, and there is no issue if someone decides the opportunity is not the right fit for them.
Because we want to avoid misunderstandings and ensure that anyone applying fully understands the company's current stage, how recruitment works, and what to expect before committing time to the process.
This opportunity is best suited to individuals who believe in the long-term vision of the project, are comfortable contributing at an early startup stage, and understand the current deferred compensation structure.
Those looking strictly for immediate paid work, short-term freelance payment, or guaranteed upfront compensation should not apply at this time.
Yes. We encourage applicants to ask any questions they may have before interview, test, or onboarding so expectations are fully clear on both sides.
